The Manheim Central School District is seeking applicants for an interim High School Assistant Principal to start as soon as possible and until permanently filled.
The interim High School Assistant Principal is a temporary, professional position who will operate at the direction of the principal and assist in the day-to-day procedures of the building. Main activities include interacting with professional and non-professional staff, coordinating student programs, and serving as site assessment coordinator. Additional responsibilities include assisting in administrative reports and programs in accordance with district policies and procedures. In addition, other duties include monitoring student attendance and discipline and involvement with national, state, and local testing and assessment.
Current professional staff may apply – this position will be a temporary title and duty change, and thus will be classified as a professional position during the interim period. The interim assistant principal will receive a prorated stipend of $50.00 per working day along with their current salary. As this is a professional-level position, expectations of supervisory duties are limited and supported by current administration, and your schedule will allow for flexibility outside of a typical school day. Weekend and evening work may be necessary. Additionally, if selected for this position, your current position will be filled with a substitute and upon the conclusion of the interim period, you will be returned to your current position. Performance during the interim role will not influence your annual evaluation for your current position.
Another posting for the permanent Act 93 Assistant Principal will be forthcoming. Any candidate that applies to the interim position and would like to be considered for the permanent position will need to apply separately.
